Dodie Rife Biography

Recently hired Managing Producer Dodie Rife is bringing energy and excitement to NOVA. Her enthusiasm, organizational skills and commitment to teamwork are moving NOVA in new and promising directions.


Dodie is no novice to the theatre world. Beginning as a volunteer with the Rimrock Opera’s production of Carmen in 2009, Dodie has steadily increased her involvement in stage productions. From Properties Master to Assistant Stage Manager to Stage Manager, she worked La Boheme, Rigoletto, The Crucible, The Merry Widow, Tosca and Aida. In 2009 and 2010 she assisted with Rimrock Opera’s One-Act Operas and School Program.


Dodie was the costume designer for Rocky Mountain College’s productions of Romeo and Juliet, South Pacific and Lysistrata, and she assisted with Billings Studio Theater’s 2013 production of A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline


In 2014 she directed NOVA’s production of Amahl and the Night Visitors.


Previous to her theatre activities, Dodie was an art teacher for many years and has operated numerous small businesses. Dodie is married with three children and resides in Billings with her spouse.
