Amy Logan Bio


Amy Logan is thrilled to have the opportunity to share the stage with her son Jacob.  A frequent performer in the Billings community, Amy has been involved with Rimrock Opera since 2001.  She has sung in the chorus, stage managed, conducted the children and adult choruses, helped to create and conduct the ROCK program and has sung leading roles in several operas.  Amy’s opera credits include Mimi in “La Bohème”, Susanna in “The Marriage of Figaro”, Despina in “Così fan tutte” and the title role in Sister Angelica.  Amy has been a guest soloist with the Billings Symphony, the Billings and Missoula Messiah Festivals, sings with the High Plains Chamber Singers and plays bass clarinet with the Billings Symphony.  Amy has served as music director and pit musician for numerous musicals in town.  On stage, she has taken on roles such as Velma in “Chicago”, Mother in “Ragtime” and Ellen in “Miss Saigon”.  She recently performed in “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” and “The Marvelous Wonderettes”.  An active music educator and conductor, Amy is in her eighth year directing choirs at Skyview High School. Amy has directed honor choirs and adjudicated music festivals around the state.  She conducts a women’s choir for the Billings Youth Orchestra and Chorale.  Amy holds degrees in Music Performance and Education from the University of Montana.  She currently studies voice with Dennis Rupp.
