In the American West, a pioneer woman, Sarah, and six women, who are called her daughters, face frontier life. Rather than a straightforward storyline, the musical is presented as a series of short tales and tableaux matched with musical numbers, each presenting an aspect of frontier life or womanhood.

 

The Rankin File Production

The Rankin File Production originated with Venture Theater.  The Rankin File Production celebrates women in the arts by present a play that was either written by a woman, has a strong female lead, or is directed by a woman. The Rankin File Production was named after Jeanette Rankin a Montana native who was the first woman ever to be elected to the United States congress.

 

Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30PM. Sunday matinees are at 2:00PM.

Ticket prices are $21/Adults, $16/Seniors and Military, and $10/Students.

Lemuel Gulliver recounts his wild tales of strange lands and exotice people in this satirical classic adapted from the Jonathon Swift novel.

Billings, MT- February 14, 2017 NOVA Center for the Performing Arts invites you to our celebration For the Love of the heARts at MoAv Coffee 2501 Montana Ave.

Doors will open at 6:30 P.M. and entertainment will commence at 7:00 P.M. Guests will be treated to an evening of appetizers, desserts, and jazz from local jazz group The Alex Nauman Trio.  Ticket prices for the event are $50/couple and $30/individuals. Wine and beer are included in the price. Tickets are available for purchase through NOVA at 406.591.9535 or at our box office located at 2317 Montana Ave.

Venture Improv

Venture Improv has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years! This season they will be performing the third Saturday of every month beginning in October. Venture Improv does a lot of the short form improv games you would see on Whose Line is it Anyway.  With different suggestions, games and players every week, you’re a guaranteed a new show every time!

Funky Bunch

Funky Bunch is NOVA’s high school improv troupe! These kids are sure to amaze and astonish with their quick wit and smart humor. Funky Bunch will perform the first Friday of every month beginning in September. Like Venture Improv, Funky Bunch styles their shows after Whose Line is it Anyway. These guys are just as funny as the adult troupe….just not nearly as old.

Opera Fest @ Highlands Country Club

OperaFest offers an upscale silent auction, fine dining, music and a delightful evening of live opera entertainment. Dine with opera singers and experience the beauty of live opera in an intimate setting Saturday March 17, 2018.
NOVA Center for the Performing Arts will host the event at the Highlands Country Club 714 Poly Drive, Billings.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and no-host cocktails, followed by a gourmet dinner with select wines. Live auction items include an African photo safari, jewelry from Montague Jewelers, three private gourmet dinners for eight people by prominent local chefs and a wine and hors d’oeuvre party for 20 people at NOVA Center for the Performing Arts.  Attire is as formal as the guest wishes. A highlight of the evening will be performances from the artists of Pirates of Penzance.

Tickets are $100 a person in advance or $110 at the door. Tables of eight are available for $750. Call the NOVA box office at 591-9535, to reserve a table.

NOVA is a 501(c)3 non-profit entity. Proceeds from a wide selection of silent and live auction items benefit its mission to enhance the performing arts in Billings.
