‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ opens Friday at NOVA By Jaci Webb

the Witch and the Wardrobe” at the NOVA Center for the
Performing Arts.
“The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe,” dramatized by Joseph Robinette from the story by C.S.
Lewis and directed by Dawn Nickerson, opens Friday, Feb. 27, at
NOVA Center for the Performing Arts.
The play tells the story of four children who go through a
magical wardrobe and enter into an enchanted land full of
talking animals. There they must make a dangerous trek to save a
royal lion from an evil witch.
The production is made
possible through the generosity of the Yellowstone Boys and
Girls Ranch.
The cast includes both adults and children.
The main characters are played by Logan Shy (as Peter), Lauren
Lane (Susan), Kievan McCave (Edmund) and Seja Foster (Lucy).
Supporting players include Dan Nickerson (as Aslan), Amanda
McCave (White Witch), Tom Mulford (Professor Kirk), Glenda
Brauneis (Mrs. MaCready), Cruz Martinez (Tumnus), Gabe Slater
(Grumpskin) and Cole Whittington (Maugrim) as well as James
Pelham, Holly Howe, Evan Ulrichs, Loren Hart, Miyon Durham,
Shannon Sheehy, Danielle Dupree, Makay Loran, Madi Morgan,
Kelsey Larson, Chloe Mayer, Emma Ulrichs, Micah Andrews, Mya

NOVA
youth director Dan Nickerson said kids and adults can take some
things away from the story.
“Some of what makes this such
a special show are its lessons in family, courage and
forgiveness,” Nickerson said.
Performances are Feb. 27
and 28 and March 1, 6, 7 and 8, with 7:30 show times on Friday
and Saturday evenings and 2 p.m. matinees on Sunday. Tickets are
$16 for adults and $11 for students, seniors and active military
with ID (prices include a $1 facility fee). Groups of 10-plus
receive 10 percent off and groups of 20-plus are receive 50
percent off.
