2022 Spring Classes will be held on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, depending on choice of class, from Tuesday, January 11, 2022 to March 31, 2022. Each class will be one hour long. Depending on your choice of class, it may start at 4pm, 5pm or 5:30pm. Please see individual classes for day and time.

Instructor: Dulais Rhys
Composer in Residence
Born in Wales, Dulais has been a professional musician for nearly 30 years and is now a resident of Billings with his wife Leigh. Dr. Rhys has Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Wales. He offers his skills as an accompanist and instructor throughout the year at NOVA. His hobbies include reading, movies, golf, cooking and piloting private aircraft.
ROCK I - Beginners
MUSIC IS FUN AND THAT'S A PROMISE!
Learn (and perform) fun songs, learn how notes and rhythms work and why the best music never grows old.
Grades K -3: ROCK is the musical component of NOVA’s Youth Conservatory. In this class students learn how to sing, act, and move their bodies as well as a basic understanding of reading music and music history. ROCK I is a beginner level course for students just entering the music world.

2022 Spring Class - Creative Dramatics (Wed. 5 - 6pm) Grades K-3rd Students will be introduced to early elements of the theater while exploring imagination through role-playing and story telling. Instructor is Anna Hayes.
This class will be held 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesdays from January 11 - March 30, 2022.
The showcase is scheduled for Wednesday, March 30 at 6:00PM.

Anastasia Hayes has appeared in several theatre productions in Billings, MT. You may have seen her in Peter Pan, Newsies, As You Like It, and Suds, to name just a few. Anna spends her free time making coffee, skiing, and mountain biking as well as spending time with her three dogs Margo, Dever, and Brilynn.

2022 Spring Class - Intro to Acting (Wednesday
Grades 4th - 7th: Students will learn
how to create and develop characters. They will use
improvisation, storytelling and visual imagery to advance their
skills and transition to more prominent roles on-stage.

Intro to Acting
DeLaney graduated from Rocky Mountain College in 2014 with a degree in Theatre/Performance. Since then she has performed and directed with The Virginia City Opera House, Yellowstone Repertory Theatre, Billings Studio Theatre, and NOVA. She also spent the summer of 2015 as an intern at the Seattle Children's Theatre. When not performing, DeLaney enjoys spending time with her hubby, her pets, and her family.
022 Spring Class - Intro to Improv (Thursday 5pm
Grades 7 - 12: Students
will learn to develop cooperative story telling techniques,
including "Yes, and...", plus basic vocabulary and
understanding of improv concepts and strategies. Keller
Paulson of Slapstick Improv will be instructing the class in
a fun and open environment.

Intro to Improv
Keller Paulson is a pursuer of creativity. By day, Keller can be found at the Art House Cinema where he acts as the Sponsorship Coordinator. By night, Keller can be found around local haunts doing standup, performing with Slapstick Improv, or playing music with other talented musicians in the greater Billings area. In addition to all of this, Keller also is regularly involved with local short films, feature films, and live theater, and he is also the host of the interview and comedy-based podcast, Keller’s Couch. As an educator, Keller has taught improv at Verge Theater in Bozeman, has held workshops around the city of Billings for improv, and has been involved with film acting classes throughout the state.
The Big Sky's the limit for Keller and with only 24 hours in the day, he doesn’t take a single one for granted.
